Ruby’s Eroticon 2017 Virtual Meet and Greet

Only a few days to go!

It’s just clocked that Eroticon is only in a few days … so in an attempt to assuage some of the nervousness I feel I’ve hopped on the Virtual Meet & Greet train for Eroticon 2017!

NAME (and Twitter if you have one)

Ruby, though I’ll answer to most things really. Twitter: @MissRuby Rousson

What are you hoping to get out of Eroticon 2017?

A chance to meet new people in the sex blogging community, and learn more about the industry. I’m also hoping Eroticon will inspire me to write more. I love writing, and I used to write a fair bit, but life got in the way – as it usually does.

This year’s schedule at Eroticon is pretty full-on but which 4 sessions do you already have marked down as ones you want to attend?

There were so many! The first one I’m really looking forward to is DJ Fet’s rope class. I had plans to attend a workshop she ran earlier this month but wasn’t able to attend so I’m glad I get a second opportunity. The second would be Emily Rose Yates’ talk on Undressing Disability on and off-screen. Disability is a topic close to my heart, and I’m really excited to see a talk on it. Emmeline Peeches, Formidable Femme, and Hot Octopuss’ talk on using blogs to educate are next on my list, and lastly, though there’s the whole host of talks I’m really looking forward to, I will kick myself if I don’t make it to Myles Jackman’s Obscene Text talk. But, they all sound too good to miss.

Tell us one thing about yourself that not many people know?

I dabble in an assortment of instruments, and I always try to learn more. My first instrument was the clarinet, but I’ve added another seven instruments since then, three of which I can play to a reasonable graded standard. I love dabbling.

If you made the papers, what would the headline be?

Dominatrix gets lost in the weird, and wonderful toy collection.

If you could have one skill for free (I.e. without practice/time/effort) what would it be?

The ability to say or write something without having to constantly edit, no matter the form – written, spoken, etc. I stumble over my words far too often both in text and in person.

Complete the sentence: I love it when…

I learn something new.

And that’s all for now. I’m off to make lists, many many lists of all the things I could possibly need for a few days in London. I excel in overpacking.

(If you ever need tissues, safety pins, paracetamol etc, at Eroticon feel free to hit me up. Chances are I’ve usually got something of the sort in my bag. I’m a bit like Mary Poppins.)
